Company History

The Frogmore group of companies was initially jointly founded by Dennis Cope in 1961. In response to market conditions, the company has changed its form and status over the years. Mr Cope is currently Chairman and a major shareholder in Frogmore Property Company Limited.

Frogmore Property Company Limited was founded by former Frogmores Estates plc directors Dennis Cope and Paul White in 2002. Six former Frogmore Estates Plc subsidiary board directors joined the company together with a number of Frogmore Estates plc's staff. Highlights of the company's activities since its formation are;-

  • 2002 - Acquisition of £124m Portfolio with Lendlease Global Properties
  • 2002 - Residential property joint venture established with HBOS followed by the acquisition of sites in Islington and Bristol
  • 2002 - Appointed as Development Advisor to Fairview New Homes Ltd in respect of the commercial elements of their schemes
  • 2003 - Appointed by CIS to manage the completion and leasing of office building in London EC3
  • 2003 - Acquisitions of M25 office campus and a Cardiff city centre office totalling £38m
  • 2003 - Disposals of regional office and two warehouses for £31.25m
  • 2004 - Acquisitions of provincial offices in Leeds, a shopping centre outside Glasgow (in joint venture) and a residential conversion in London SW1 (in joint venture) totalling £55.75m
  • 2004 - Disposal of M25 office campus for £32.7m
  • 2005 - Joint venture established to redevelop the Post Office, Bath
  • 2005 - Acquisition of City of London office building and shopping centre near Hull, totalling £87.23m, on the same day, beating a stamp duty savings deadline
  • 2005 - Practical Completion of 10 business units at Gipsy Corner, London W3, all sold freehold
  • 2005 - Acquisition, in joint venture, of residential site forming part of Arsenal FC's new stadium and subsequent forward sale of all 254 units over one weekend
  • 2005 - Joint venture established to develop 913 bedroom apart hotel at Westminster Bridge, London SE1. The sales launch of the individual hotel apartments to investors was held in October.
  • 2005 - Formation of Frogmore Northern Limited and acquisition of large office refurbishment opportunity close to Manchester City Centre
  • 2005 - Acquisition, in joint venture, of 45,000 sq ft of offices in Leatherhead and 3 warehouse units in North London.
  • 2006 Acquisition, in joint ventures, of a 5a industrial development site in Romford and a portfolio of 13 business parks. Acquisition of an office refurbishment project in London EC2.
