Cotton Quay, Salford Quays, Greater Manchester

Frogmore has successfully achieved planning permission for Cotton Quay and associated S106 legal agreement for 1,493 residential units and 475 hotel bed spaces, c.31,500 sq. ft. of commercial space, a harbour bath and multi-storey car park with rooftop playground and climbing wall.

The new district, designed by Architects Studio Egret West, Studio Partington and Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher will deliver an ambitious scheme that will transform this central Salford Quays location into a vibrant new neighbourhood.

The site is located within Salford Quays, approximately 2 miles to the west of Manchester City Centre.  Salford Quays have been transformed from redundant docklands into Greater Manchester's waterfront, home to internationally renowned venues such as Media City, The Lowry Art Gallery, Imperial War Museum North and Manchester United Football Club’s Old Trafford Stadium.

Cotton Quay will bolster the Quays’ thriving visitor economy through the delivery of new hotels, commercial, retail space and public attractions. In addition, Cotton Quay is an opportunity to deliver much-needed new homes in a sustainable and accessible location.
