Helping bring relief to Ukrainian refugees

Frogmore are proud to have played their part in helping to meet the essential needs of Ukrainian refugees fleeing by the million across the Ukrainian-Polish border.

As the landlords of Lingfield Point, Darlington’s leading business park, we were pleased to grant the free use of Buildings 24 & 25 as a collection point and storage depot for relief supplies for onward delivery.

Answering the call to help, more than 300 local people volunteered over 2000 hours of their time to pack more than 150,000 donated items into 1,337 boxes at the Firthmoor Community Centre for loading and despatch from Lingfield Point.

In total more than 12 tonnes of essential supplies have now been despatched to where they’re most needed on the the Polish border.

Jo Allen, the CEO of Frogmore, comments: “The plight of the Ukrainian people has touched and moved us all to do what we can in a practical way to aid them, and we are pleased to play a small part in that.

We also salute the initiative of the Firthmore Community Centre in organising this relief effort, and the people of Darlington for their selfless support”.
