Frogmore Secures Planning Consent at Stratford – Estates Gazette 17th September 2019

Frogmore has secured planning approval for a mixed-use site in Stratford.

The proposal for the new site, known as The Yards, is a redevelopment of Morgan House and includes 423 residential PRS units, of which 35% will be affordable, a 95,000 sq ft office building, a 299-bedroom lifestyle hotel and nearly 33,000 sq ft of independent retail space.

Frogmore submitted plans to the London Borough of Newham in late 2018.

The UK real estate fund manager owns both the Stratford Centre, the retail mall adjacent to Westfield, and the Morgan House office building, which is located on the service yard to the south of the shopping centre.

Michael Whitney, development surveyor at Frogmore, said: “The scheme is a positive step forward for Stratford, generating jobs, homes and an environment for people to stay and shop locally”

CBRE and Knight Frank are joint agents for the office space; Gerrard Nolan for the hotel space; and Andrew Sissons Consulting is responsible for retail.

Frogmore acquired the Stratford site from Blackstone and Catalyst for £141.5m in 2017.

GVA are planning consultants.
