It is with profound sadness that the Frogmore team mourns the death of Her Majesty The Queen. She was a shining example of steadfast leadership, determination, and dedication to the people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.
Queen Elizabeth II assumed her title in 1952 after her father’s death and reigned for more than 70 years until her death on Sept. 8, 2022, making her the longest-reigning monarch in British history. She was also the only female member of the royal family to have entered the armed forces and served in World War II. Her devotion to duty and the welfare of others was reflected in her patronage of no less than 600 charities, amongst which are professional organisations in our own sector concerned with promoting architecture and architectural advancement, and best practice in construction and planning of the built environment.
The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19th September at 11:00 hrs BST. Our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family at this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
19th Sept has been declared a bank holiday in the UK and the Frogmore offices will be closed.
